A bit more velvet

Skirt (Dress) - TopShop
Shirt - Vintage
Belt - Vintage Gucci
Necklace - TopShop
Earings - Urban Outfitters
Rings (2 sets) - H&M

So, as you can tell I am slightly obsessed with this dress now, so much so that I have now doubled it as a skirt (I just turned up the shirt and held it in place with the belt). I feel so unbelievably British in this outfit, it just oozes British highstreet. I am loving this new trend of fully buttoning up shirts and adding short necklaces although this shirt is missing a button at the very top, which is annoying when you're a perfectionist like me. This shirt is, again, from Unicorn in Oxford, which is where I get pretty much all of my vintage clothing. I must be one of their best customers by now, I spend half my life digging around the piles of clothes there, and I mean piles!
I tweeted earlier that I think I am wearing the most rings I have ever worn today, with a new personal best of 13! The 3 chunky rings are one set and the others are another, all from H&M. I was in MK yesterday doing some last minute shopping with my best friend and decided to pick the rings up to cheer me up (I was spending obscene amounts of money on Christmas presents). A warning to all, do not go to MK shopping center 4 days before Christmas! It was hell! We spent 5 hours trudging through crowds of people with heavy bags of presents. Not fun. Either way I still managed to get all of my shopping done so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Although I am now broke.
I hope y'all have are more organized than we were and are super excited for the holidays!

From day to night

Dress - TopShop
Pleather Jacket - Primark
Necklace - TopShop
Earings - Urban Outfitters
Shoes - Office

So as you can see this is pretty similar to yesterdays outfit but I've made it into more of a night version. I've zipped up the jacket, added a new necklace and changed the shoes. The brilliant thing about this dress is it looks gorgeous in day and night looks, all you have to do is meddle with the accessories a little. You can also change up your make up a little bit as well, I would have done a darker purple lip but stupidly I forgot to lol.
I changed the necklace from a long one to a short one as it adds more glam and sparkle to the outfit and I upgraded the shoes to leather platforms as I believe that flats are not appropriate after hours, even if I do turn into a 6ft giant. Damn my father's tall genes. Well I'm planning on wearing this little number to a party later this week and I'm super excited about it!
My tip: try to have at least 2-3 dresses in your wardrobe that can double as day to night dresses, this will save time and money in the long run!

Red Red Wine

Dress - TopShop
Pleather Jacket - Primark
Necklace - TopShop
Skull Ring - Dorothy Perkins
Gold Ring - Dorothy Perkins
Mood Ring - Camden Market
Shoes - TopShop

So, I should probably start off with an apology for the lack of posts, so here it is, I'm sorry. This last week has been taken over with final deadlines before the Christmas holidays, which I am thankfully now on! Obviously I have been celebrating with shopping and parties, so today I hit the streets of Oxford, slightly hungover, and went a little crazy. I have always maintained that I should not be allowed in TopShop with a Credit card and a UCAS card, the combination is deadly! (for those that don't know, a UCAS card is a British student card, available to any British teen over 16, which allows you 10% off in certain stores, TopShop is one of them). I therefore went slightly nuts and walked out with this burgundy velvet dress, the cross necklace, another necklace, an earcuff and these amazing studded slippers, which quite frankly give me a slight shoe-gasm whenever I see them. They're real leather which small studded spikes all over them and to be quite honest I'm terrified to wear them out in case a spike comes off.
I have had my eyes on this dress for months, ever since I saw it on BeautyCrush's YouTube channel. I was given some Christmas money early this week so I decided I should finally buy it and treat myself a little as I thought it will look great on Christmas day! I'm going to do another post tomorrow probably about how to change this outfit into a night look, which is so easy.
Just in case you're wondering, I'm wearing Barry M nail polish in the colour Foil.
Hope everyone is having a really good Christmas holidays!

A Week In Pictures

My life seems to be dominated by doing work (history notes) in coffee shops. I've developed a serious addiction to caffeine now!

The morning after a night out, in the local McDonalds in my pyjamas at around 7:30 in the morning

My best friend's new puppy Pixie! Isn't she the cutest!

I went shopping in Oxford over the weekend and there was a guy breathing fire! He found this gorgeous volunteer from the audience (bottom left hand corner) so I stuck around.

Christmas decorations are finally up. My family likes to stick to a very classic decor.

Me and my friend Molly at our 6th form. The wind this week has been crazyy! Even now I can hear it going buzzurk outside my room.

Hope everyone has a good week!

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Coat - Charity Shop
Fur Sole - New Look

This is just a quicky I'm afraid! This is my pretty winter coat, which has officially been whipped out this year. I bought it for £9 in a charity shop, and when I checked the tags, it's from Harrods! Bargain much!? I love the colour and it goes so well with the gold buttons. I've always wanted a coat with fur trimmings but I love this coat to much to get another one (that, and I'm broke) so I just added my fur sole over the collar. It's really warm and super snuggly, great for the weather in the UK at the moment. Though I must admit I am a little disappointed we don't have any snow yet, after putting up with this horrid weather we should at least be able to have some fun with it!
Anyway, I hope everyone is having a happy holidays!

Party Season

Top (Dress) - ASOS, Cheap Monday
Shorts - Primark
Belt - Vintage Gucci
Pleather Jacket - Primark
Shoes - Office
Clutch - TopShop

So, evidently my streak of posting everyday is over, but it was fun while it lasted! The last few days have been pretty crazy so I haven't had much time to blog I'm afraid. I'm sorry! This will hopefully be the first of a few party outfit posts (but I might not, I have the memory of a goldfish) showing you what I wear to party's this time of year. It's sad to say that I haven't actually worn this out yet, but it's a possibility for a party next weekend. The top I'm wearing here is actually a dress from Cheap Monday, which I bought on ASOS, but I popped my shorts over the bottom half of it to make it look like a cute corset top. The dress/top is a black denim type of material with leather on the sides. It looks cute as a top and a dress I think. I'll try and post a picture of what the dress actually looks like in another part outfit post. It makes me sad at how worn these shoes are getting. They're my little babies and my go to shoes for most going out outfit, which is probably why they're so worn down. Just FYI, I bought them from Office online in a size 7 (which always fits me perfectly) and they were annoying small, which very rarely happens to me! So be careful if you're ordering from Office online, I would advise going a size up. Anyway, if you do make the same mistake I did, here's a little tip from me: if they're real leather shoes, pop them in the freezer with sandwich bags filled with water inside of them (make sure the bag is properly sealed!) and then leave them in the freezer for about half an hour. The water will expand when it freezes, stretching the leather and making them a size bigger. Tah dah!
Anywho, I hope everyone is having a good holiday season!

Another School Day

 Jumper - Vintage Store
Belt - Vintage Gucci
Skirt - Primark
Band Ring - Charity Shop
Blue Ring - YSL

3 for 3, I'm on a roll! It is so good to be home, I have had such a stressful day and I feel I need to vent a little bit here. Remember I said I would cry if I received any more history notes? Well that was achieved today! School is far more stressful now then when I was in preschool. I would kill to have daily nap times again.
Anywho, despite my loathing of life, here is another OOTD.
I wore this to school today as it's super cold out now, and I am super tired along side it, so I dressed for comfort and warmth this morning. The Jumper is from a vintage shop in Oxford and I am so in love with it. I was slightly scared that people would think I looked like a granny in it at school but people loved it, so that was a success!
I don't think many people pair vintage Gucci with Primark nowadays but I've tried it here. The belt was my mum's from years and years ago and had just been sitting in out attic since we moved into our house. So in my current state of recycling clothes, I felt it was more than appropriate to give this gorgeous little thing a second shot at life. I apologize, by the way, for the state of my skirt, I wasn't aware how dirty it was. I took these pictures after getting home from school so I must have spilled something on it during the day.
Well I should go and have a go at those notes, they're just sat on my desk willing for me to do them.
Hope y'all have more interesting evenings than me hehe!

I'll Take Care Of You

Skull Dress - ITOO (market stall)
Pleather Jacket - Primark
Fur Sole - New Look
Wool Headband - Primark
Dragon Wrap Ring - TopShop
Band Ring - H&M
South African Gypsy Ring - South African Market

2 posts in 2 days, a personal best me thinks! I am aiming for a couple more this week if I can. Hope you have all had lovely weekends, at this point in the year I think we all need it! School is more than a little stressful at the moment and if I get one more set of history notes I think I may cry. A lot. The only thing really keeping me going is the prospect of Christmas holidays. 2 of my friends (who are like brothers to me) are coming home in 2 weeks, and I am not joking when I say I have cried with anticipation!  But, even during stressful times like these, I try to dress accordingly. It makes me feel better.
I am finally able to admit that I am one of those annoying people who look in their (full) wardrobe and say 'why do I have no clothes!'. I have therefore taken it upon myself to start recycling all of the clothes that I never wear and just sit in the back of my closet because some of them are actually pretty nice. So today when I was scourging through the many heaps of old clothing in my wardrobe, I found this dress, which I bought at last years Clothes Show Live. It was a complete impulse buy, out of sheer desperation to shop, and when I brought it home I decided I hated it and hid it away from the world. I am ashamed for this now. One of my favorite things in the world is skulls, I love them! I'm even designing a tattoo based around them (it has a sentimental meaning as well though, don't worry) so I can't understand where my hatred came from. Never the less, I have nothing but love for this dress now, much to my mother's disappointment (she hates skulls).
This jacket must be getting a little boring to y'all now mustn't it? I wear it an awful lot. But I have been told many a times that this jacket sums me up pretty well: edgy, dark and cheap!
I love love love love my gypsy ring! It's so purrttyyyy. I bought it when I went home to South Africa in the summer at a market in my hometown. It's an actuall gypsy ring, I don't know about you but I think that's so cool! I love owning pieces, especially when it comes to jewellery, that not many other people have. Makes me feel different in my own special little way I guess.
I WILL try and post tomorrow, I pinky swear

It's a wee bit chilly...

Leather Skirt - TopShop
Jumper - Primark
Pleather Jacket - Primark
Fur Sole - New Look
Bag and Bag Scarf - Charity Shop
Claw Ring - TopShop
Skull Ring - Primark
Band Ring - Charity Shop

22 sleeps until Christmas people! Are you excited? I sure as hell am!
The weather in England is officially miserable, we should get snow anytime soon, which I'm not too happy about as it means whipping out my coat, which I hate as it ruins practically all of my outfits! But never the less, it means that Christmas is fast approaching which makes up for it. You will have seen this jumper in my 'it smells like Christmas spirit' post a couple weeks ago, and I'm ashamed to say that this was actually the first time this jumper has seen life outside of my house. I didn't wear it out as I thought it just made me look fat but I think paired with this skirt and jacket it looks pretty good, wouldn't you agree? It's super warm and comfy though, which makes it a total steal for £11! Primark do it in a bazillion different colours, but I felt that I have far too many dark colours in my wardrobe so I went for this crimson red (instead of the black and dark navy I was originally going to go for). I have wanted a fur sole for months and months and more bloody months, but have never really been bothered to get one. I got this one for £11.99 from New Look in grey, but I kind of want one in brown as well, so I have my eyes on one in H&M, not that there's an H&M anywhere near me!
Thank God it's nearly the Christmas holidays, I need a break! New posts soon, I pinky swear.

Too Much Time With My Head In My Blog

Shirt - Primark
Shorts - Primark (limited edition)
Headband - Primark
Jumper - vintage
Bandeau Bra - Urban Outfitters

Good evening everybody! I hope everyone had a fabulous bonfire weekend, I know I sure did. I was finally able to see my best girlfriends all together after months apart from each other. One of them has recently passed her driving test (congrats Laura if you're reading this!) though I must say it was rather like driving in the Bat-Mobile, slightly scary and yet a little exciting. She's a rather decent driver, just not when all of us are distracting her apparently, hehe. My actual bonfire night was spent with a couple of my best friends at our local rugby club. The display was fantastic, even more so due to the fact that they accompanied the display with a bit of Susan Boyle, which made the night if you ask me!
Anywho, I wore this little (literally) number on the night, and I must say I wasn't as chilly as I assumed I would be. I did bring along a mildly thick coat aswell to be fair though. I decided to stay very bland on the colour pallet (as always) as it was pitch black by the time we arrived, so the need for colour seemed pointless. I am madly in love with these shorts though as I usually shy away from them as I feel I have thunder thighs, an asset which is not hidden by shorts. But these bad boys can be rather flattering if worn correctly as they're rather loose, so they don't highlight the thighs. Also, I love that they are a dark colour and pattern as it means I can wear them in all seasons, yay!
This jumper I had actually completely forgotten about, it was on the back of my door under a large pile of coats, so I was super excited to be able to whip it out, especially as it's super chilly in the UK at the moment, so wooly jumpers are a must right now!
As you can see, I have re-kindled my love of sheer again, but I replaced my usual bra-let with a bandeau. I have to admit, the only reason I've done this is for mere comfort, bra-lets can become quite uncomfortable if worn for a long time. My best friend likes to mock me by saying I spend more money on my underwear than my outerwear, which in this case is totally true. Almost all of my clothing is under £11, while my bra is £13! That's a smidge embarrassing.
Wow, I need to re-dip-dye my hair so badly. Next week, I promise! If you want me to put a step by step blog up for how I do my dip-dying just set me a little comment and I'll do my best.

For Goodness Sake Let Us Be Young

Dress - H&M
Cardigan - Zara
Belt - Primark
Jacket - Primark
Rings - (claw) TopShop, (green) Spittle-fields market, (blue ring) YSL

So here's my latest look, and it's one of my new favorites if I do say so myself. This skater dress is from this seasons H&M autumn collection, from Oxford street in particular. Its a really great shape for curves and accentuates mine brilliantly, before I put my jacket over the top of course. The main thing I love about this dress though is that it's so unbelievably comfortable, I can actually breath in it! The material is a thick (fab for winter!), stretchy woolen fabric and I love it. I've paired it with a last season Zara cardi with elbow pads (a MUST have in British fashion this year) and my favorite pleather jacket, as you've probably realised by now. So I feel I should admit something here. I have a ring obsession. I think I'm borderline fetish (joke!). I've always wanted one of the YSL Arty rings and this month I finally had enough money to buy my own one! WIN!! As for the claw, well that little baby is from TopShop. It was originally £20 but with my student discount, which on this particular day was 20% off, it was £16. Another win if I do say so myself.
On a completely unrelated note, I'm thinking of re-dip-dying my hair. My mum made me chop it all off when I started my new school, but you can still see the reminisce of it, which if you ask me looks a little silly. I think I've just convinced myself to do it though.
Apologies for the messy room, I live like a street rat I'm afraid
Oh, and I'm now on Bloglovin

Smells Like Christmas Spirit

Warning, this isn't a particularly fashion based blog. I was currently sat in my green pyjamas and red wool knit jumper and I suddenly realised how festive I looked. So I whipped out my special Christmas hair band (I've had it since I was 6) and took a cheeky picture. I am so unbelievably excited for Christmas it's unreal, as far as I'm concerned as soon as halloween is over, it's perfectly acceptable to start the Christmas hype, and trust me, it's started big time! I'm one of those nuts who like to have their friend's Christmas presents planned in October and starts buying wrapping paper the second it comes into stores.
Ahhh 55 sleeps until Christmas!
p.s yes, that is a bunny BlackBeryy case, I'm in love with it. I bought this one from a market in South Africa but I've seen a few floating about in English markets to.

This Is Halloween

 Skirt - Primark
Shirt - Topshop
Scarf - Primark
Jacket - (very old) Primark
Earrings - Urban Outfitters
Bag - (very very old) New Look
Bag Scarf - Charity Shop
Happy Halloween all! This is my attempt at a halloweeny style outfit as I didn't get the chance to dress up properly , but I'm hoping to pop a halloween dress-up inspired post within the week.
I personally think I should be called Bargain Betty, the amount of Primark and charity shop clothing in my wardrobe is on the verge of obscene! Can you believe I used to loathe Primark? And charity shops! But I have to admit I have made some amazing discoveries in these stores, for example, everyone has been asking where I bought the scarf on my bag from. I love seeing their faces when I tell them it was £1.99 from a charity shop.
As for the bag its self, well I discovered this bad boy in the back of the wardrobe in our spare room. I got it for my 13th birthday and I hated it with a burning passion, though I now can't remember why. I do have to admit I'm not mad keen on the gold detailing around the bag as it can look tacky. I've already attacked it with a pair of scissors and removed some of the little golden buggers.
I do hope my darling cousin Lydia (http://buyingtings.blogspot.com/) isn't looking at this as I will get an earful over my mismatch make-up, but you are being deceived! My Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation had SPF in it, which, my fellow beauty Betties, can make your make up look lighter in pictures. Do not make my mistake!

I shall post more blogs and I shall improve my wardrobe one buy at a time!
